Mystic Beach

A simple hiking trail that takes about 1.5 hours round trip. The majority of the hiking time will be spent meandering through the forest. At this beach, you'll see waterfalls flowing into the ocean, natural rock caves, and various marine creatures. Coastal Waterfall

Located on the left side of the beach, the coastal waterfall sees a stream from the hillside cascading through layers of trees, forming a waterfall as it meets the ocean. Travelers can walk to the base of the waterfall for a unique photo opportunity with the sea and the waterfall.

Wishing Stone Village

For some reason, visitors to Mystic Beach have formed a tradition of building stone figures on piles of driftwood. Over time, there are now hundreds of stone figures, each with its own story behind it. If you visit, why not try making your own stone figure? Don't forget to whisper your wishes to your stone figure.

Roll up your pants and wade into the sea with tongs to catch wild crabs—a unique activity in Sooke. Travelers will learn the most traditional crabbing methods of the Indigenous people. Indigenous Mystery Waterfall

According to local Indigenous beliefs, one must come to the base of the waterfall and undergo the waterfall's baptism to be considered an adult in the tribe, entering the next stage of life.

Underwater Fossils

A popular filming location for European and American movies, Hatley Castle on Vancouver Island has been featured in many famous works such as the well-known "X-Men" and "Deadpool" series. It is a renowned setting for various American TV shows and films.

Fisgard Lighthouse Park

Established in 1860, Fisgard Lighthouse is one of the oldest lighthouses in Western Canada. It was constructed by the British colonial army before the establishment of Canada. The vivid red roof serves as the only guiding beacon for the British Navy amidst the vast sea.
