Set on a rocky edge at the northern cape of Chesterman Beach, the Wickaninnish Inn is an aspirational destination. A few minutes south of Tofino on the Esowista Peninsula, the Inn is central to exploring the rugged wilderness of Pacific Rim National Park and Clayoquot Sound.

Built out of the McDiarmid family’s vision, and now under guidance of our Innkeeper, Charles McDiarmid, the Wickaninnish Inn is a timeless retreat for any occasion. The Inn’s two neighbouring buildings house all of our accommodations and services just steps from the beach. Their architecture has helped define the archetypal North West Coast style, one which utilizes natural elements of local cedar, fir, driftwood and stone in its design. With windows opening towards the surrounding landscape and seascape, guests are immersed in the beauty of our incredible surroundings from every room. Sculptures and artwork from local artisans feature prominently throughout the Inn and create the essence of its unique character. In fact, any mention of the work here must begin with Henry Nolla and Maxwell Newhouse who have left no room untouched by one of their signature handmade pieces.
